 Asher Hasan, MD, M.B.A., social entrepreneur and founder/CEO of Naya Jeevan, will speak at Walden University’s Minneapolis residency on July 18 at the Ted Mann Concert Hall.
Dr. Hasan conceived the award-winning business plan for Naya Jeevan when he was pursuing his M.B.A. at New York University’s Stern School of Business. Now, Naya Jeevan is regarded as the “first HMO for the emerging world.” The organization partners with large multinational companies to provide emergency health insurance to workers who make less than six dollars a day.
In addition to his work with Naya Jeevan in Pakistan, Dr. Hasan is a 2009 member of the Clinton Global Initiative, a TED Fellow, and a Draper Richards Kaplan Entrepreneur. |
