New Scholarships for Graduate Social Work Programs

Walden has established the Barbara Solomon Scholarships for Social Work for students in its graduate social work programs. Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration Offers Global Perspective
Our Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration program now features a broader international focus. In this enhanced program, which now incorporates more of a global perspective within its coursework and offers a new Global Leadership specialization, students can gain the skills and insights needed to address some of the most pressing social issues facing the United States as well as nations across the globe. Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision program Adds Two New Specializations

To help students gain focused knowledge in an area of interest, Walden has introduced two new specializations to our CACREP-accredited Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision program: Leadership and Program Evaluation and Advanced Research Methods. Learn more.

School of Counseling Adds Addiction Specialization to More Programs
Walden’s School of Counseling has added an Addiction Counseling specialization to its M.S. in Mental Health Counseling and M.S. in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling programs. Already offered in our M.S. in School Counseling program, this specialization can prepare students to provide help and hope to individuals and families whose lives have been devastated by addiction. Walden’s School of Counseling has added a Military Families and Culture specialization to its M.S. in Mental Health Counseling; M.S. in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling; and M.S. in Addiction Counseling programs. M.S. in Human Services Introduces New Military Specialization

Walden has added a Military Families and Culture specialization to its M.S. in Human Services program. In this new specialization, students explore common challenges of military life and can gain the skills to support military personnel and their spouses and children, who may be coping with a variety of hardships. New MSN Specialization: Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
Students pursuing the Nurse Practitioner path in Walden’s Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program can now focus their studies in acute care. The new Acute Care Nurse Practitioner specialization is designed to help students gain the advanced practice skills needed to manage the care of acutely or chronically ill individuals aged 13 or older. Walden now offers one of the most affordable M.S. in Psychology programs available online. By refocusing coursework and specialization content, we’ve reduced tuition costs by more than $4,200. Walden’s new Mathematics and Science (Grades K–8) specialization features math courses informed by the latest standards set by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics’ (NCTM) Principles and Standards for School Mathematics.
